👩🏽‍💻 Why Do I Need a Newsletter?

We get it, really another thing to add to my plate? But hear us out. A newsletter helps you build a direct and personal connection with clients, showcasing your expertise and updates regularly. It serves as a marketing tool to stay top-of-mind and generate repeat business. Additionally, it can drive engagement and trust, leading to more referrals and opportunities by framing yourself as an expert in your field. Having a newsletter creates a lead magnet for new clients, so they can enter your funnel and be nurtured organically.

🦄 Making a Great Newsletter

We hear it time and time again but quality content moves the needle - that’s a fact! To make your newsletter genuinely great and attract leads, you must offer valuable, relevant content such as industry insights, tips, and case studies to engage and inform your audience. By showing up consistently, whether that be weekly, bi-weekly or monthly you can begin to engage your audience with your content. The only timeframe we don’t suggest is daily, from our experience that can get a bit spammy and overwhelm people. Remember to keep it personalized to your audience! If you’re a social media manager, it’s likely that people are coming to you to learn about that industry so tailor your content to their interests and needs to make the newsletter feel more personal and relevant.

🤳🏽 Tip Top Tools

Creating great content is half the battle with your newsletter, you will also want great tools to complement it. When browsing the huge list of tools to pick from look for intuitive and user-friendly interfaces that allow you to create, edit, and manage newsletters without requiring extensive technical skills. Ensure the software offers automation features for scheduling and segmenting emails, along with robust analytics to track open rates, click-through rates, and subscriber behavior. That way you can continue to serve your audience properly, by reviewing what works and what doesn’t. Opt for software that provides customizable templates and integrates seamlessly with your existing tools (e.g., CRM, social media, website) for a cohesive workflow.

 Now to Grow

Okay you’ve got your amazing content, you’ve mapped out what your content themes are and the tools you’re going to use but how will you grow? Well, your newsletter is a place for your most loyal followers. Use your social media channels to move people over into a space you ‘own’. You can do this by promoting your newsletter on stories or posts with a compelling call to action and snippets of the value it has to offer. You can also provide incentives by highlighting exclusive content or industry insights, discounts, or resources in exchange for signing up, making your newsletter even more appealing to follow! As with everything, networking and collaborating with other freelancers or businesses to cross-promote each other’s newsletters, helps expand your reach to new audiences.

Kate’s Real Food

We love love love supporting female-founded businesses! Their energy bars are perfect for popping in my bag for a days work out of home or if we’re going on a big walk with Mango. I love that their bars are made with whole food ingredients like protein-packed nuts, fibre-filled seeds, and nutrient-dense fruits. So I’m fueling myself properly to fly through the rest of my work days without a sugar crash. I started with their Snack and Share variety pack so I could pick which flavours I liked best. Happy snacking!
