FFN #72: Cold Emails That Convert

This week: Steal these templates to land new clients, Jobs & More!

Cold Emails That Convert

Cold outreach can be a hotly contested topic. In our opinion, it’s a must if you’d like to be keeping lead gen up in your biz. The thing is, most of the retainer clients we’ve seen in our biz never posted the role we help them with now. What does that tell us? It’s crucial to shoot your shot! And don’t worry if it doesn’t land. Usually, only 22% of cold emails convert - but this week, we’ll be diving into how to get that figure up so you can keep landing fabulous clients.

For the ones who dream of greater things - step and the path will appear.

☕️ Cold emails don’t have to give cold

Crafting a killer cold email isn’t rocket science, but it is an art—and the key is personalization. Ditch the generic “Dear Sir/Madam” and take a moment to research your recipient’s name and business (LinkedIn will be your bestie). Mention something specific, like a campaign or project you admire. Compliments are free and super effective! Then, let your personality shine. Whether you’re quirky, bold, or warm and professional, use your authentic voice to explain exactly how you can help them solve a problem or hit a goal. Keep it short and sweet, then end with a clear call to action.

🎯 Let’s land you that client

Want to boost your conversion rates above 22%? Add social proof! Mention a similar client you’ve worked with, a successful project, or a quick stat like, “I helped [client name] increase engagement by 30% in two months.” This builds trust and positions you as someone who delivers results. Pair it with a compelling subject line that grabs attention, like “Quick Idea to Boost [Specific Goal]” or “Loved Your Work on [Project Name]—Here’s a Thought.” A personal, benefit-driven subject line can skyrocket your open rates and set the stage for success.

This notetaker is amazing!! It transcribes meeting notes perfectly and saves so much time on writing up notes post-client discovery calls. Our fave feature is the summary email and recording that gets sent straight to the client at the end of the call. This seriously improves your client customer experience - j’adore!!

Packsia

We died and went to aesthetic video HEAVEN when we found Packsia. They have a tonne of gorgeous vertical video’s available so are perfect for all our SM managers out there who need content for clients. The only thing is it does get a little pricey so maybe something to use for one client instead of them all.
