Use our rate database to compare industry-standard rates so you can confidently set prices that reflect your skills and have the data to back yourself up with clients. Then, put payment terms in writing—this means clear contracts with late fees to stop invoice-chasing and upfront deposits to protect your time. Talking about money openly gives us power. Let’s normalize it because you deserve to get paid what you’re worth.

👵 But I’m 27?

Whether you’re 22 and haven’t got “ enough experience” or 45 and being told you’re “too senior,” ageism in business for women is real—but you can take control of the narrative. Lead with results, not years by showcasing case studies, client wins, and testimonials that highlight the impact of your work and how you have stayed competitive. And don’t wait for others to give you space—create your own. Launch a platform, grow your personal brand, start a community, or build an offer that attracts the right people who value your expertise. Women-led businesses are thriving because we’re in the driving seat making our own rules and trust us FF’s don’t let anyone tell you you’re too young or too old to have a seat at the table.

👶 Moms are Heroes at Making it Work

The key to balancing business and motherhood? We aren’t totally sure yet. But people on the internet say, setting up systems that support you. You already have a full-time job and want to be present for your kids. So we suggest automating as much as you can. Tasks like client onboarding, invoicing, and scheduling so you can focus on high-value work (or, you know, sleeping). Set expectations from day one—let clients know your availability, batch work ahead of time, and stick to boundaries. And most importantly, lean on a community of women who get it. Whether it’s referrals, shared childcare tips, or simply support, we thrive when we lift each other up.
