Sara - FF Community Tips

Hey FF’s 👋

Sara here. If you’re like me and have been staring at your laptop like it personally offended you… you’re not alone. Creative burnout is real. Especially when you’re freelancing and wearing all the hats (CEO, admin, sales team, content creator, coffee-fetcher… the list goes on 😅).

So if you've been feeling uninspired, stuck, or straight-up over it lately. I’ve got a gentle challenge for you.

Not a productivity sprint. Not a goal-setting bootcamp. Just something thats really helped me fall back in love with my business.
This is your Creative Reset. 3 days. Just you, and your creativity.

Let’s bring back the spark together ✨

Day 1:

Silence the noise.

Social media, Slack, endless client emails, they’re creativity killers if we’re not careful. Today is about stepping away from the scroll and tuning back into you.

Your mission:

  • Log out of your apps for a few hours (or the whole day if you’re brave).

  • Go for a walk without a podcast.

  • Read a great book or go try a new hobby

  • Journal on this prompt: “When do I feel most creatively alive?”

Don’t try to force inspiration today. This is the decompression stage. Think of it as letting your brain stretch out on a picnic blanket.

Day 2:

Play > perfection.

Today, you make something. Anything. But here’s the catch: it cannot be for money, clients, or your portfolio.

Paint something messy. Doodle in your notebook. Make a mood board. Write a poem that makes no sense. Cook a meal like it’s art. Play with your dog.

Your mission:

  • Block out 30–60 minutes to make something just for you.

  • Post it or don’t. (Seriously, don’t feel pressure to share.)

  • Ask yourself: “What did I love about this that I want more of in my work?”

This pulls you out of “what will perform” mode and back into “what lights me up” mode. That’s where your real magic and creative genius lies.

Day 3:

Realign and reimagine.

Today, we take what surfaced over the past two days and shape it into something powerful: a new creative compass. The goal isn’t to change everything, but to remember why you started, and where you want to go next.

Your mission:

  • Revisit your Day 1 journal prompt.

  • Write a “creative manifesto” (even if it’s messy!) Just a few lines that capture your purpose, your values, your mission.

  • Decide on one small shift: Maybe it’s no more 9pm edits. Or finally starting that dream project. Or setting stronger client boundaries. Whatever feels aligned.

Lock it in with this question: “How can I make more space for creativity in my everyday work life?”

Creative slumps happen. Burnout is not a failure, it’s a signal. And it’s not your fault.

But here’s the good news: you can get your spark back.
Not by grinding harder. Not by overhauling your business overnight.
But by slowing down, tuning in, and letting yourself feel creative again.

I’m cheering you on, always.
Let me know if you try the reset! I’d love to hear what came up for you 💖
