✏️ Let Go

Soft Ambition is something I’ve been talking about with my friend Jules Acree. It’s less about changing how you do things and more about changing how you view yourself. As she so beautifully put recently, soft ambition suggests success should be defined on our own terms, and it prioritizes personal growth, wellbeing and happiness. It’s a wonderful reminder that comparison is the killer of joy and one only needs to be true to themselves.

🚸 Hit the Streets

It’s no secret that we’re fanatical about rate transparency. To thrive as a freelancer, it’s necessary to be competitive and confident when negotiating with clients. That’s why we’ve been loving this TikTok account that asks random folks on the street about their salaries. The more people that are talking to each other, the more power we have as individuals to support ourselves!

Threads is a GREAT tool to find dreamy af clients — right now. The app isn’t over saturated, there aren’t a million ads or big brands that are taking over the feeds. It’s based on connection and is all about the VIBE. Thread bios, and users are SEARCHABLE. Search for your dream clients (whether they be photographers, coaches, flower shops, or skincare brands), build a connection, have a chat & then move the business discussions over to IG. (Pro tip: the profiles are linked! Super easy to switch back and forth) Cash in on this dreamy lead pool now, before you aren’t able to!

This Week’s Picks

01. Paper Craft Pantry

One of our favorite local shops to peruse in ATX, Paper Craft Pantry, stocks the cutest notebooks and stationary. IDK about you, but we’re big on crossing out our to-do’s on paper it just feels so good & they are not only available in person but ship to you!

02. Dusen Dusen

When the temps turn up we can’t get enough of big, bold colors to match the equally dynamic days. Stripes and waves are a classic combo and something we wanted to play around with outside our wardrobe. We’ve been punching up our home & office essentials and making the daily grind a lot more zany with some statement pieces.

Free Workshop Series

Guess what? Freelancing Females is partnering with HoneyBook to bring you an exclusive clientflow workshop hosted by Natalie Franke. Learn how to manage your clientflow from inquiry to invoice and everything in between. #partner

Yoohoo!

This is your afternoon pick me up section! Snack hour is where we share the crunchy, munchie, ooey-gooey women-owned delights that give us life when we take a moment (or two) to recharge.

This woman-owned brand has a fascinating origin story rooted in love for environmental sustainability and climate change. Their commitment to healthy soil and the power of regenerative agriculture is awe-inspiring. With each bite of their trail mix, I not only indulge in a delicious blend of superfoods and adaptogenic herbs, but I also support a brand that aligns with my values (and the branding is oh so cute). Toodaloo’s dedication to healing our bodies and the planet shines through every thoughtfully crafted bag. It’s a snack break that nourishes both my taste buds and soul.
